2. Our Commitment To Children's Privacy

2.1.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

3. Information Privacy and Security

3.1.

In the course of your use of the ChemCentric eService Report/Chemmunication Tools Web site (or other services or tools available from us), you may entrust us with confidential personal and/or business information not related to transactions you have with us. We recognize the importance of such information to you. We have implemented controls to ensure that only individuals you have explicitly authorized to do so can access your confidential information.

3.2.

We have implemented safeguards in the form of industry standard security technology, management practices, and physical security to protect you from the loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration of the information you have entrusted to us. You can enhance the effectiveness of these safeguards by creating passwords that cannot be easily accessed, guessed, or reproduced by unauthorized persons.

3.3.

The Chemmunication Tools Web site database is backed-up daily from our dedicated server located at a secure ISP facility in Atlanta. GA. Our ISP employs state-of-the-art, multi-level security in a professionally managed environment. ChemCentric regularly upgrades software and equipment to provide you with a high level of availability, performance, and disaster-recovery. For additional data protection, we recommend users obtain a physical copy of their data, through the Web site’s Advanced Reporting features that allow users to download selected data into a Microsoftâ Excel spreadsheet.

3.4.

We work to protect your personal and confidential business information stored on the Web site’s servers from unauthorized access using industry standard computer security products, as well as carefully developed security procedures and practices. All ChemCentric employees and subcontractors must review and sign a written statement of these practices as well as a confidentiality agreement, which includes limiting access to sensitive information to only those employees who require the information and enforcing strict password protocols for all employees. We use both internal and external resources to review the adequacy of our security measures on a regular basis

ChemCentric personnel will not require you to divulge your password, even to provide support or assistance. Remember to log-off your Service account and close your browser window when you have finished your work. 5.1.

We provide you the opportunity to subscribe to e-mail newsletters and other e-mail communications. You may unsubscribe by following the instructions provided in each e-mail newsletter.

5.2.

When sending you e-mail, we may use an image called a single-pixel GIF, that allows us to (1) format messages that best align with your computer’s capabilities, and (2) determine whether you’ve opened an HTML e-mail. When you click on a link within an e-mail message, you may first pass through our newsletter server, and then be redirected onto the Internet. We use this click-through data in the aggregate to evaluate response rates to our e-mail messages and to determine which links are most useful to our customer base.
